These Terms and Conditions govern your use of the Ibunda News website, sometimes referred to as Ibunda Izindaba zesizwe, a news digital platform, content and subscription services.
By accessing or using Ibunda News (Ibunda Izindaba zesizwe), or by purchasing a subscription, you agree to be bound by these Terms and Conditions. If you do not agree with these terms, please do not use the service or purchase a subscription.
1. ABOUT IBUNDA NEWS
Ibunda News (Ibunda Izindaba zesizwe) is a digital news and media platform providing news, current affairs, community stories, business, entertainment, lifestyle, interviews, features and other digital content.
Ibunda News (Ibunda Izindaba zesizwe) reserves the right to update, modify or discontinue any part of the platform or its content where reasonably necessary.
2. SUBSCRIPTIONS
Ibunda News (Ibunda Izindaba zesizwe) may offer paid digital subscription plans from time to time.
Current subscription options may include:
- Monthly: R35 per month
- Quarterly: R99 every 3 months
- Annual: R349 per year
Subscription prices may change from time to time. Any material change to pricing will be communicated to customers before the new price applies to a renewed subscription.
3. BILLING AND PAYMENT
Subscriptions are billed according to the billing frequency selected by the customer.
Customers are responsible for providing accurate billing and payment information.
Where recurring billing is applicable, the customer authorises Ibunda News (Ibunda Izindaba zesizwe) or its appointed payment provider to process the applicable subscription fee according to the selected billing cycle.
If a payment fails, access to subscriber content may be suspended until the outstanding payment is successfully processed.
4. ACCOUNT ACCESS
Where an account is required, customers are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of their login credentials.
A subscription is intended for the individual subscriber unless Ibunda News expressly states otherwise.
Customers must not share, sell, transfer or commercially exploit their subscription access without prior written permission.
5. DIGITAL CONTENT
Subscription access provides customers with a limited, personal and non-transferable right to access Ibunda News (Ibunda Izindaba zesizwe) subscriber content for the duration of an active subscription.
All articles, photographs, videos, graphics, logos, audio, designs and other materials published by Ibunda News (Ibunda Izindaba zesizwe) are protected by applicable intellectual property laws.
Content may not be copied, reproduced, redistributed, republished, sold or commercially exploited without permission.
6. USER CONDUCT
Users agree not to:
- Use the platform for unlawful purposes.
- Attempt to gain unauthorised access to the platform or another user’s account.
- Interfere with the operation or security of the website.
- Copy or redistribute protected content without permission.
- Upload or transmit malicious software.
- Impersonate another person or organisation.
- Use Ibunda News content to mislead, defame or unlawfully harm another person.
7. NEWS AND EDITORIAL CONTENT
Ibunda News (Ibunda Izindaba zesizwe) strives to provide accurate, relevant and responsible journalism.

9. PLATFORM AVAILABILITY

Temporary interruptions may occur because of maintenance, technical problems, internet connectivity, security incidents or circumstances beyond our reasonable control.
10. TERMINATION OR SUSPENSION
Ibunda News (Ibunda Izindaba zesizwe) may suspend or terminate access where a customer materially breaches these Terms and Conditions, engages in unlawful activity, abuses the platform or attempts to circumvent subscription controls.
Where appropriate, customers will be given reasonable notice and an opportunity to resolve the issue.
11. LIMITATION OF LIABILITY
To the extent permitted by applicable law, Ibunda News (Ibunda Izindaba zesizwe) will not be responsible for losses arising from circumstances beyond its reasonable control, including internet outages, third-party service failures or temporary platform interruptions.
Nothing in these Terms and Conditions is intended to exclude or limit any consumer right or liability that cannot lawfully be excluded or limited under South African law.
12. CHANGES TO THESE TERMS
Ibunda News (Ibunda Izindaba zesizwe) may update these Terms and Conditions from time to time.
The updated version will be published on the website and will become effective from the stated effective date.
13. GOVERNING LAW
These Terms and Conditions are governed by the laws of the Republic of South Africa.
Any dispute will be dealt with in accordance with applicable South African law.
